The Colorado Death Ride: Preliminary Images

Congratulations to all of this year's Colorado Death Riders! We had a small, but hearty contingency at this year's event, which included six starters, five finishers, and one DNF. Results will be posted shortly on the RMCC website.

Riders encountered beautiful, but rather warm riding temperatures, generally favorable winds, and some welcome (cooling) thundershowers on Lizard Head Pass and Telluride Junction.

After a long day on the bike, Mark is relieved to have survived another Death Ride!

Andre, an ultra-distance racer from Durango, used the Death Ride as final preparation for the upcoming Race Across Oregon in July and Hoodoo 500 in August. Good luck, Andre!

Despite knee problems, Michael finished this year's Death Ride strongly. "The Death Ride didn't get the best of me, but it got the best of my knee!"

Gary and Tom perservered through many punctured tubes and a blown-out tire,
exemplifying the RMCC spirit to not give up! Congratulations on completing your first Death Ride!

Struggling with fatigue, Andrea decided to back off of her usual intense riding pace and use this year's Death Ride as a good training day for Paris-Brest-Paris (PBP) in August.

Charlie is all smiles after a long day of supporting riders. Thanks for your help, Charlie!

Michael Henderson's friend, Fred, provided valuable assistance for riders throughout the day
His help was very much appreciated!
